Jack Sells Popcorn, take 15 - ACTION!
When Jack was a Tiger Scout he decided he would produce his own video asking friends and family for help supporting his Pack. It was completely adorable, in a way that only works when you're 6. Now that he's grown up and world wise, Jack wanted to produce a new video - but this one had to be "perfect".
We discussed what made a good video and he regaled me with the finer points of the Minecraft and Lego youtube videos he had seen. We came up with an outline and then he got to it, scripting the whole thing and running through a number of takes until he got one he felt good about. I was in the kitchen the whole time making dinner - this is an original Jack production. Enjoy!
Here's his first video from when he was 6 - don't tell him I showed it to you...

Jack's Flyer
Just wanted to share this with you. Jack came home the other day with a plan to hand out Popcorn flyers to his classmates. We discussed what makes a flyer effective - that the message had to be clear, the text had to be neat, and it should have something to catch your attention. He made several drafts and got his final draft approved by his teacher. This is what he took into class today. He's all business folks - please do what you can to help him reach his goal! |

Frequently Asked Questions for Trail's End Online Sales
Reproduced from Trail's End website
Order and Checkout Information
Why am I asked for my birth date when making a purchase?
Because Trails-End.com is a website geared towards children, many under the age of 13, we require customers to enter their birth date before making a purchase to ensure our site remains 100% COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) compliant. This information is not saved and cannot be viewed by Trail’s End staff.
I keep getting the error message "street not found in zip" and/or "house/box/apt number not found on street." What should I do?
This may occur due to an invalid shipping address. Before placing your order, our website checks the shipping address you enter against all addresses listed in the United States Post Office database. You can check to make sure you are entering your address correctly here: zip4.usps.com.
I just placed an order. When will my credit card be charged?
After submitting an order, the credit card that was used will be charged upon shipment of the order.
Are my purchases on trails-end.com tax deductible?
Because you actually receive products in exchange for your payment, only a portion of your purchase is tax deductible. The portion that is tax deductible is typically the difference in the amount you would normally pay if you bought a similar item at the grocery store vs. the price of the product you purchased on trails-end.com. Shipping and Handling charges are NOT tax deductible. We urge you to consult your tax professional to confirm this as well.
Military Donation:
When you purchase the Military Donation you are making a charitable contribution since you don't receive actual product in exchange for your payment. This means that the purchase should be 100% tax deductible. As always, make sure to double check this with your tax professional, as tax laws often change.
Do you accept cancellations or returns?
No, we do not accept order cancellations or returns. 70% of every purchase from trails-end.com is returned to the Scout, his troop or pack and his council. Due to the fundraising nature of the site, we cannot cancel an order or accept any returns.
Can I change the Scout or council that receives credit for my order?
No, we cannot change the Scout or council that receives credit for your order. Once your order is placed on trails-end.com, the 70% returned to local Scouting is recorded for the Scout or council you chose to support.
